back to ny tomorrow finally…after a week n a half of being away from half my homework but also not really able to do work on my computer cause not allowed to be on electronics on shabbat and beginning and end of passover…i sneak on my phone but it’s not the same….an not prepared to catch up on homework though, and be thrust into finals😭QOTD: would you be able to survive going 25 hours every week being offline? and if you could, what about 48 hours, or even 72?cause that’s the kinda life i grew up with😭
At home, yeah... but at uni I don't think I could. So much stuff is online, my discount cards for grocery shops, maps, email.... and what if all my friends were hanging out & i didnt know bc I didn't see them texting me 💔 I saw one of those "hot takes on the Tube" videos where the guy said we should just have a nationwide Internet ban on Sundays though & i could get behind that.
yeah, easy, standing on my head. friends would worry about me, but I'd manage. I was born in the late 80's, so like....I wasn't chronically online until I was in my 30's really. As a teenager we had years where we didn't have internet, and even in college, when I felt like I was my most chronically online, I had so many classes that I definitely was not. Once I dropped out and started working, I'd log on to SNS like....2-3 times a week? once I became disabled that's really when it became an every day thing
