generally a good rule of thumb when browsing the internet is to use an adblocker (ublock origin) when possible. google just recently gutted the power of adblockers on chrome, so use firefox if you can, where they will be far more effective. as for mobile, i believe that mobile firefox has some built in adblocking capabilities, at least on android
