controversial take but i'm not 100% against the debuting of minors? HOWEVER. MASSIVE CAVEAT. the world we live in is an unkind one where there is no perfect or good company that will ever properly care for a minor they are responsible for the fame of. so i don't like it in the world we have now.

i say that i'm not against it hypothetically because as a j-idol fan there's a kind of hard to understand special aspect to watching idols grow from debuting at 14-16 (i get weirded out when it goes lower. which it does.) into confidence and talent by the time they graduate at 25-30s. so yeah
